Downtown Ventura’s 4th of July Street Fair
Independence Day is less than two weeks away. That means that it’s almost time for downtown Ventura‘s 4th of July Street Fair. For 37 years, Ventura residents have been saying “Happy Birthday, America” at this annual day of patriotic fun along Ventura’s Main Street (encompassing Fir St, Ventura Ave, Chestnut, Oak and California). Best of all, it’s absolutely free!
From 10am to 5pm, residents from all throughout Ventura County descend upon the downtown Ventura area to listen to great live music, visit the arts and crafts vendors and dine on fabulous food from one of the fair’s food vendors. The kids’ Pushem-Pullem Parade begins at 10am. There’s even a free shuttle service to take you from the parking lot at the Ventura County Government Center. Shuttles run from the Center to the fair from 10am to 4pm. The last shuttle to leave the fair and take patrons to their cars is at 5pm. The shuttle station is located at 800 S Victoria Avenue.
Bring the family to Downtown Ventura’s 4th of July Street Fair for a day of fun in the Southern California sun. There will be food, crafts, a parade and plenty to keep you busy. Celebrate our nation’s freedom in a safe and sane way.
